Here's wishing you a very Happy New Year! Have you made resolutions for 2016? In the upcoming year we hope to be busy making t-shirt quilts of course and I am making a promise to practice free motion quilting with my home sewing machine. Jackie and I have signed up to do a sew along with Project48quilt, We will make making 4 blocks a month, 2 traditional and 2 modern blocks. So you will get to see our works of progress for this quilt sampler. Have a great night and a safe one if you are out. Jackie is watching tv and I will be doing some hand sewing.

Happy Holidays from Jackie and me! Yes, we are still alive and kicking. Our friend Jackie recently had surgery, but recovering nicely and Hillman (my Dad) broke his shoulder the week before Thanksgiving. I am (Kim) his caregiver, which is the hardest and most special job I have ever had. I am very lucky to have great friends, Piedmont Hospice Care, and Griswold Home Care who step in to help. It takes a village.
Our t-shirt quilts have been pushed to the back burner, and for this we apologize to those of you on our waiting list. Yes, we have a waiting list of 15 which we are thankful for and please know that the next person will be called soon so we can start the New Year getting busy!
Our friend Susan hired us to make a North Carolina State t-shirt Quilt for her Father's Christmas gift. Susan, her Mom, and family members added their NC State shirts to make this quilt-too sweet!

What do you think? Great present huh. It is interesting that a few weeks ago we were getting calls for us to make t-shirt quilts for gift tomorrow. Yes, we told them know and did not laugh. If you don't know anything about making a quilt, sometimes it takes more than two weeks. Our quilts are sent to a professional long arm quilter to be quilted and sometimes it takes 3 to 5 weeks to get a quilt back from her due to her waiting list.
Happy Holidays from Quirky Quilts! Thank you for all of your support.
