Special thanks to those of you who have served or serving in our country's military.
We thank you and your families for your sacrifice and service to us all.
Yesterday was a sewing day for Quirky Quilts and here is what we accomplished. Jackie worked on pillow cases for our friend Mary Kate. Mary Kate's Father is in the Alzheimer's unit in a nursing home and asked us to make pillowcases to brighten up their rooms a little bit. These are so easy to make and there is a great tutorial on YouTube. We are just getting started with a little help from our friends we hope to make 30 pillowcases.
We forgot to post our blocks for October's Charleston Modern Quilt Guild block swap. This month Phoebe requested house blocks and she provided the sky fabric (grey). Jackie made the beach bungalows and I (Kim) made a Charleston single house with Phoebe and her husband in the doorway. It was a lot of fun and no patterns, we just cut and sewed our pieces together. Can't wait to see the final quilt. Here are our blocks:

And we worked on the second Raugh t-shirt quilt, which is a memorial quilt for a Father who passed away a few years ago. This one will be a throw quilt and our client wanted neutral and some blues. This is the first panel and it really is turning out nicely, don't you think.

So that's all for now, except we are trying to get to 100 LIKES on facebook by Thanksgiving. If you haven't seen us on facebook, we would appreciate you becoming our friends. Have a great Monday!
