Modern Quilt Guild Block Swap...

Busy day catching up sewing our blocks for the Charleston Modern Quilt Guild swap.  We have two months to work on.  For the month of June, we were asked to make black and white blocks (to be finished at 8 inches) for Karen.  Jackie made a block (which she enlarged a little bit) from Tula Pink's City Sampler-100 Modern Quilt Blocks.  I (Kim) made a broken dish block.

For the month of July we were asked by Sarah to make a Mother's Dream block from Leila's blog tutorial.  Great directions and Sarah provided all of the fabric to make her block, which included some linen, yummy.  Sarah will be using the blocks to make a quilt for her husband, who is a fan of the 80's.  Loved the records and cassette tape fabrics in the center of the blocks.

Our turns are coming up in August and September, so we are busy getting our stuff together.  We will update you soon as to what we are asking our guild to make for us.  We have two quilts at the long armed quilters right now and in the process of making another t-shirt quilt for a race car fan.
