Blocks anyone....

Our latest t-shirt quilt is at the long arm quilter, being quilted.  So what's on our to do list?  This month the block swap in the Charleston Modern Quilt Guild belongs to Linda.  We made LOVE blocks for her (each letter is 5 x 7).  Linda reduced the pattern and said we could make our blocks in any direction.  Here is what we did:

Jackie's LOVE block
Kim's LOVE block

Also on our list, we are getting ready for Quilt Camp on Seabrook Island at Camp St. Christopher.  Jackie and I host a quilt camp for our dearest twenty-four friends.  We will be right on the beach,  hopefully the weather will be warm, and sunny.  It is a great place to unwind, visit with each other, and quilt from Friday to Sunday.  This is our sixth year and during camp we will have a block drawing.  Which means, we either pick a theme fabric or just select fabrics from your stash in certain colors for your blocks.  This year we are making red and white 9 inch quilt blocks from our stash.  We can piece any kind of block we want and make however many we can before the drawing.  The number of blocks you turn will be in the number of times you name will be in the drawing.  If your name is drawn, winner winner, chicken dinner.  ALL of the blocks are yours.  So here are three that were made today.  What do you think?  If I win, it could be a way for me to have a red and white quilt made by me and my dearest friends.  Wish me luck.

Red/white block exchange for Quilt Camp.
Get your friends together for some play time.
