Granny Square anyone...

Kelly Biscopink, co-author of  Modern Designs for Classic Quilts (yes, she is a member of our guild) is this month's Charleston Modern Quilt Guild's block swap.  She is on the band wagon with everyone in the blog world making Granny Squares.  Kelly gave us the text print and polka dot fabric to use.  So Jackie and I made the following blocks.

As promised, we finished another t-shirt quilt.  The quilt was made with Goose Creek High School band t-shirts.  This quilt looks very traditional with nine-patch corner stones.  Our mission was to use the school colors:  black and gold.  We are waiting to hear what Alice and her daughter think about the quilt.  Hope they love it.  What do you think?

So we are finished with this one and our next quilt will be using Citadel - The Military College of South Carolina t-shirts for our friend Catherine and her son Chris.

Next week Kim will be going to QuiltCon in Austin, Texas.  I am excited about going to see the quilts, shopping, classes and meeting new quilters.
