Oh Happy Friday!

I don't know about you, but this has been a long week.  So happy it is Friday, and it promises to be a busy weekend.  Jackie and I will start working on Alice's t-shirt quilt and making our quilt blocks for our friend Geri, as part of our Charleston Modern Quilt Guild Block Swap.  We will post our finished blocks as soon as they are finished.

Now some news to share, I have been asked to reproduce another quilt for The Charleston Museum.  It is a Water Lilly kit quilt from the 1930's.  There will be three classes starting in April, if you would like additional information or to register for the class contact The Charleston Museum.

A few years ago, the museum asked me to reproduce the Sarah Rosenstock Album Quilt from 1857.  Patterns are sold through the museum's gift shop. I am still sewing the lilies on the Water Lily quilt.  The part I can't wait to start is the embroidery work on the flowers.

The Charleston Museum has a wonderful quilt collection, if you are in Charleston take the time to visit and be inspired.  Have a wonderful and creative weekend!
